Omnibus Temporary Rules Effective July 1, 2021

The PDC adopted Omnibus Temporary Rules effective July 1, 2021

  • What are these rules? These rules reflect the rules the Legislative Committees approved in March 2021 with the replacement language as presented to the Legislature and previously adopted by the Commission as temporary rules on March 12, 2021.
  • If the Legislative Committees already approved these rules, why are they temporary? These rules were adopted because the Legislature has neither adopted a concurrent resolution nor adjourned, and without this, the PDC rules expired on June 30, 2021.
  • So, if these rules are temporary, how long do they last? These rules expire when the Legislature adjourns.  When these Omnibus Temporary Rules expire, the rules with the replacement language the Legislative Committees previously approved in March 2021 will take effect.
  • What happens next with these rules?   These rules are just a temporary stopgap because the PDC rules expired on June 30, 2021.  They will expire when the Legislature adjourns.
